Texas Music Flood Outgrows Texas

Texas Music Flood, the state’s largest coordinated relief concert series, is proud to announce over 30 confirmed venues to host relief concerts on Oct. 8 and Oct. 15, 2017.

“The level of outreach we’ve seen from venues and artists has been inspiring and overwhelming,” said Bucky Bachmeyer, founder of Texas-based Big Red Drum Entertainment. “Working with the Texas Music Office, we’ve received over 400 artist and dozens of venue inquiries that we’re sorting through. This is truly a testament to the love this community has for our great state and we want to do whatever we can to aid in recovery efforts.”
Texas Music Flood is the state’s largest multi-venue statewide relief concert series to provide aid for those impact by Hurricane Harvey, which hit the Texas coast on Aug. 25, 2017. It is a coordinated effort among venues, artists, promoters, radio stations and media to maximize impact, resources and aid to devastated Texas communities.

“The Texas Music Office could not be more proud of our Texas music industry community and their willingness to step up to assist their fellow Texans in their times of need,” said Brendon Anthony, Director of the Texas Music Office. “Through organizations like Texas Music Flood and Rebuild Texas the music industry will affect meaningful change for those affected by the this disaster.”

The initiative began with a single message to a group of organizers in the Texas and Red Dirt music community and has now grown to encompass venues in Arizona, Illinois, Oklahoma, Tennessee and London. A comprehensive list of venues is available at texasmusicflood.org and is updated weekly.
